New seasonal products will be showcased at the Gibson Farm Market Holiday Open House (5368 N. Chestnut Ave) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 1. Customers can sample peppermint-coated chocolate bark candy made by campus food processing unit students and other seasonal products such as holiday coated almonds and pretzels.
Bulldog fans can also purchase peppermint candy ice cream cones or custom-made gift baskets that feature Fresno State food products from the campus farm. Normal wine tasting hours will be held between 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and will feature the award-winning 2017 Sauvignon Blanc and a special edition sherry. The farm market is also collecting donations for the Helping Hams campaign through Thursday, Dec. 6, to purchase hams for area families and University students dealing with food insecurity issues.
