The Fresno State farm stand at the The Square at Campus Pointe will move to Wednesdays from 5 to 9 p.m. starting Aug. 1 through Oct. 3. The farm stand offers popular items such as sweet corn, fresh fruit and vegetables, olive oil, jarred salsas, sauces and jams, frozen cuts of meat and sausage, plants, flowers and local honey that were made on campus and raised by Fresno State staff and students. A new corn salsa and relish will be available starting Aug. 8, featuring campus sweet corn. The first-year summer farm stand started in July on Monday evenings but was switched to coincide with special Wednesday senior citizen discounts at the adjacent Maya Cinema. Campus farm market products are also available daily at the Gibson Farm Market (5368 N. Chestnut Ave.). Summer hours are 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays. INFO: Steven Baronian at sbaronian@lance-kashian.com or 559.437.4835, or the Gibson Farm Market at 559.278.4511.
