Public invited to sign up for Bulldogs in the Grocery Store tours

Fresno State nutrition and dietetic students will host Bulldogs in the Grocery Store tours for campus students and the community through May 5 at Save Mart Supermarket (5750 N. First Street). The one-hour sessions will teach the importance of fruits and vegetables to provide essential vitamins, minerals, fiber and phytonutrients, and to encourage healthy immune systems. The five-person tours are offered different days of the week in the morning and afternoon. Tours will include free educational materials, coupons, budgeting tips and food samples. Dr. Lisa Herzig, Fresno State dietetics and food administration program director, coordinates the program, which is funded by a $5,000 grant from the Produce for Better Health Foundation.
