The Fresno State Horticulture Nursery will host its annual spring vegetable plant sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 18 at the Gibson Farm Market (5368 N. Chestnut Ave.). The event is the nursery’s largest of the spring and will feature 18 varieties of tomatoes, six types of herbs, artichokes, strawberries and flowers. Special prices are available for the organic and conventional spring season seedlings that are ready to plant in gardens and landscapes. Shoppers can also find fresh citrus, asparagus, olive oil, raisins, honey, jams, salsa and candied almonds processed by the students on the campus farm. The Fresno State Meats Lab will also discount all of its lamb products by 10 percent in the store’s meat section.
