The BlueTechValley Water Summit will challenge attendees to “Rethink Water – Making Decisions in Ever Changing Conditions.”
The summit will be held on March 5 at the Clovis Veterans Memorial District with keynote speakers Michael George, Delta water master for the State Water Resources Control Board, and Victor Davis Hanson, farmer, historian and author. Hanson is an emeritus professor of classics at Fresno State.
The BlueTechValley Water Summit will provide water constituents in the private, public and academic arenas the opportunity to explore and discuss new innovations, developments and trends relating to water issues. There will be panel discussions on how the ongoing drought is impacting the water industry, municipalities and agriculture, and how this can spur new innovation.
“This one-day conference will be a unique opportunity to explore how we can unlock the potential of the Valley and be on the forefront of water and ag innovation globally,” said Helle Petersen, director of the Water, Energy and Technology Center at Fresno State.
Fresno State will be represented at the BlueTechValley Water Summit By the International Center for Water Technology, the Lyles Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and the Small Business Development Center. Panelist Sarge Green is program director at Fresno State’s California Water Institute.
