The Student Health and Counseling Center at Fresno State has launched its Month of Love campaign — a series of events and workshops designed to encourage students to better love themselves.

“While the month of February and Valentine’s Day are typically associated with showing love and affection toward others — we are turning this around to encourage students to love themselves,” said Melissa Norris, coordinator for special projects in the center.

The Month of Love will kick off with the I ♥ Me Information Fair from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 11 on the University Student Union balcony. Students will be able to visit campus and community resources such as the Women’s Resource Center, Student Health and Counseling Center and Student Cupboard.

Events included in the Month of Love are:

  •  My… poster campaign where students can display what they love about themselves.
  • Daily Dose of Love social media campaign.
