As the Central Valley ramps up for another critical step in the Bulldogs’ march to great heights Saturday, the Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market on campus is holding its last regularly-scheduled Home Game Weekend Special of the year complete with wine tastings and discounts today and tomorrow.
The tastings are from 3-6 p.m. on Friday and 1-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
At the Gibson Farm Market’s weekend special, tailgaters can find specials on student products including Tailgate Red wine for $5.49. On Saturday tri-tip is $2 off until the 1 p.m. kick off against New Mexico State.
On Monday, Nov 25 at 2:30 p.m. the market will launch its annual holiday food drive, dubbed “Helping Hams” this year, with President Joseph Castro and student body president Moses Menchaca. All events are free and open to the public.
The market, a campus fixture for more than 20 years, features products grown, processed and packaged from the University Farm Laboratory including sweet corn, ice cream, olive oil and award-winning wines produced at the Fresno State Winery.
In March the Gibson Farm Market moved into its new facility at 5370 E. Chestnut Ave., between Shaw and Barstow avenues.
