With an eye toward meeting the needs of working professionals, returning students and international students, the Craig School of Business at Fresno State is recruiting candidates for its first Online MBA cohort that will start in spring 2013.
The Online MBA curriculum follows the same structure and course work as the traditional MBA, but it allows students the flexibility to learn remotely and earn their degree in less than 18 months, said Tom Burns, manager of graduate programs for the Craig School.
Burns said the Online MBA culminates in the same degree as the Craig School of Business traditional MBA. The degree is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), the professional association for college and university management education and the premier accrediting agency for programs in business administration and accounting.
The Craig School is the highest-rated AACSB-accredited program between Los Angeles and San Francisco.
The entire program will be offered online with the exception of selected final exams and culminating experience presentations. Approved testing locations and Elluminate Live! will be used to bridge any geographic barriers that students may face.
Admission requires a university GPA or last 60 units GPA of 2.5 or higher; a Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) score of at least 550 and placement in the 25th percentile (or higher) in the test’s verbal and quantitative portions; two letters of recommendation; and a statement of purpose.
