Fresno State debate spotlights election

Students and the public will have the opportunity to view a debate – and see five Department of Communication students join in – at 11 a.m. Monday, April 14, at the Free Speech platform at California State University, Fresno.

The free event will feature Nathan Magsig, a Clovis council member and candidate for Fresno County Board of Supervisors, and Doug Fraleigh, who coached forensics at Fresno State for many years. The students will join in the debate and the public may ask questions.

The debate was organized by Chris Andrade, a communication faculty member. He said another supervisorial candidate, Debbie Poochigian, initially agreed to participate but withdrew.
